Writing Essay - Orwells Ministry of Truth

Writing Essay - Orwell's Ministry of TruthOrwell's 1984 is a classic novel that focuses on the way in which a totalitarian regime and its ever-growing police state came to power. The book is considered a work of fiction and as such, not all events depicted in the book are necessarily meant to be taken literally. However, it does raise some important issues which are applicable today and are worthy of discussion. The essence of the story is this: individuals who refuse to conform will be forcibly removed from society and put into camps.Writing an essay on The Ministry of Truth can lead to many different viewpoints, however, the following article will focus on the reality that the work is meant to convey. One point that many people do not realize is that the Ministry of Truth has a set of criteria by which its members may be evaluated. While the word is often used as a metaphor, it has a true basis. As in real life, individuals who stray too far from the guidelines of the government wi ll be dealt with severely. How many essays have you read written by some writer who wants to give credit to Orwell for his observations on the world? In each case, the writer usually uses a phrase that relates to the description of the story. For example, one author might state, 'Orwell depicts reality with a stiff, formal simplicity.' Another author might say that the situation is like 'Orwellian tyranny.' Now, in each of these examples, the author is implying that the nature of the situation and the author's observation are similar to what happens in Orwell's novel. However, Orwell does not use this phrase in The Ministry of Truth. In fact, he uses several variations on the term. The Ministry of Truth simply means any structure that is controlled by a totalitarian government. While the structure is used as a metaphor, it is still a controlled structure.A central theme of the book is the imprisonment of Winston Smith. He has no personal freedom and no meaningful choices. With the rem oval of all personal choices and desires, the person becomes a cog in a system that is trying to predict and control every aspect of their lives. In such a scenario, there are only two options; one, obey the rules or two, cause the collapse of the system. The essay 'Orwell as Author' focuses on the idea that Orwell actually created a character who exhibited characteristics similar to those described above. It is based on the fact that during a meeting with the Minister of Truth, Orwell described the circumstances in which he became the focus of an essay about the police state. In the first few paragraphs, Orwell describes his thoughts and perceptions of the situation at the beginning of the novel. However, it is in the third paragraph where the reader sees the Orwell character in action. In this case, he was critical of the Ministry of Truth's actions and voiced his opinion that perhaps they had gone too far.It should be noted that a common practice by Orwell was to include a comment or two about his own thoughts and observations. This is the way in which he would introduce his own ideas, words, and characters. However, in the case of his Ministry of Truth essay, his comments are also taken from his work. There is nothing unusual in the fact that he said that he was concerned with the human condition and the consequences of totalitarianism. It should also be mentioned that much of the above essay is not necessarily true. The Ministry of Truth did not go too far. There were no such groups as 'the Children of the Ring' in Orwell's novel. Orwell did not have his own 'Ministry of Truth,' either.
